Louis Dordain, Gaétan Dupont, Élodie Durand and Guillaume Duchier met at the Pôle Aliénor in Poitiers. In their training at the Diplôme National Supérieur Professionnel de Musicien, the four of them began working together, united by the common desire to play in saxophone quartet and founded the 4D Quartet in the fall of 2022. Since then, they have diversified through multiple repertoires ranging from classical to contemporary music through jazz, world music and traditional music. The different encounters they were able to make, during masterclasses for example, allowed them to evolve in their artistic practice.

Since the formation of the quartet, they have already offered several concerts and have been programmed in festivals, including the festival "Concerts en nos Villages" organized in the Vienna by Guy Danel (chamber music teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels).

Sensitive to the pedagogical question, the quartet intervenes in different educational structures (music schools, activity centre, ...) by offering masterclasses and animations for the youngest. Recently, the members of the quartet begin to write their own arrangements and compositions.
